ONLINE – Lunch Talk: (Anti-)Bias in Academia [en]

We live in a diverse society and work in a diverse environment. This diversity is increasingly seen as an opportunity, but it also makes issues such as prejudices and discrimination more present in everyday interaction and cooperation. Therefore, we have to learn to deal with diversity and to identify prejudice and discrimination.

The lunch talk aims to raise awareness for prejudices and biases as well as for different forms of discrimination. The participants get to know the anti-bias approach, learn about the development and the impact of prejudice and discrimination and sharpen their awareness for own perceptions, ideas, norms and values. The aim is to develop and apply prejudice-conscious and non-discriminatory behavior for the life and work practice.

This lunch talk offers a relaxed environment to share your knowledge of personality traits and exchange ideas with other participants.

The event will take place online via Zoom on June 12, 2024 from 12:30-14:00. The lecturer is Felix Wittenzellner.
