German as a foreign language III
Target Group
This course is designed for doctoral candidates who have completed level A1 and leads to level A2.1 of the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR).
Goals
This is a general language course, i.e., you will learn both oral and written communication skills. The focus will be on the productive skills, i.e., on speaking and writing. In doing so, this course is oriented towards the communicative goals of the CEFR while at the same time promoting independent learning.
Topics
Topics to be covered will include: food and restaurant; school and school system; communication media; celebrations and festivities; work and career; travel and mobility.
You will learn new forms and structures, such as reflexive verbs, comparative and superlative forms of adjectives, adjective declension, and subordinate clauses with “weil”, “dass” and “wenn”.
